This wasn’t the worst depiction of Batman, but at the end of the day it was just another 2024 gutted/skinned rehashing of a beloved property. I guess I’m more offended because I’m a big fan of Batman & the lore so I was a lil more invested also he hasn’t been ruined as a character as much as characters more so of Disney Star Wars & Marvel stuff. I’m not excited to see more of this honestly. DC has been really underwhelming the last few outings so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

I actually enjoyed this episode for the most part! I loved how they did Clayface and his storyline, and getting to see Batman's detective skills put on display. But the actress insulating Karlo and rushing Montoya to save her killed the vibe at the end. But I enjoyed this one over the first episode.

The penguin is a classic mob boss, the trick umbrellas , the monocle, he's always been one of my favorite in the rogue gallery, HE has always been an underated villain .This gender swapping shit is getting out of hand . They did the same shit with the Spiderman and friends show and made Dr. octopus a female . People are like change isn't bad yada yada . It's a classic core character, imbedded and engraved in the Batman universe, Mr freeze was stupid to . Smh nothing is sacred anymore, stop ruining my childhood .

The only thing good about episode one was Hamish as the voice of batman. I feel like he did a really good job of voicing batman then switching to Wayne. Race swapping the Gordons and gender swapping Penguin was nothing more than irritating and obviously done to pander. There was no reason for neither to happen

I think when Disparu takes apart this show it's even better because he isn't a Batman fan. The pointing out of the terrible writing comes from fresh eyes as opposed to "Oh, this crappy joke that didn't land is referencing something that happened in the early 1990's aren't we smug?"😄

I don't really care for the changes I feel like having the same characterization over and over again can get tiring I mean we have 80 years of batman media so why not once in a while try something different. Though I wished they leaned more into the 1940's aesthetic

This show had great promise until I started to watch it. The wokeness is off the charts. Why is Montoya acting like Gordon in the 1940s, a time when women had a distinct role in society. And that's without bringing to attention the plus size individuals in these episodes. However, Clayface was nice. It was nice seeing him use his acting prowess and his motives were understandable. He had some good one liners. I hated the woman who was kidnapped being so nonchalant about dying. I really hope they get rid of the wokeness and start focusing on making good stories. It had the potential to be a good episode but the subplot was not on. Also, what did they do to Alfred and Bruce's relationship? Shameful. Keep it up Kwing. We are all with you brother. Been watching u for like a decade. Drop some more lore videos once in a while.

I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal, nor is it ruining the character. I feel like people tend to take genderswaps and stuff like it's the end of the world and not just them wanting to shake things up and not give us what we've already seen from the characters a thousand times
